What is “Real Health”?

The answer to this question is a fundamental one.

According to the World Health Organization, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

Are you and your family thriving?
Are you living abundantly and fully?
Do you have resiliency to bounce back from challenges?

Real health includes all of those.

Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made.
We are designed to heal.
Healing is woven in to our DNA…
It is who we are!

But, the world around us is filled with toxic exposures— from the air we breathe to the water we drink to the food we eat— our bodies face unprecedented challenges.
Those exposures compromise our innate ability to heal.
But healing is always possible… for as long as we live.

When we give our bodies nourishing food (and other nutrients) and remove harmful toxic exposures,
when we treat our bodies with kindness…
it will do its job…
and miracles happen.
Healing happens.
Learning to trust our body’s innate ability to heal and learning how to give it what it needs is the work of healing.
That is real health.

Our modern medical system is not “health care” it is disease management.

At Future Hope Pediatrics we are trying to change that paradigm for our patients and their families.

We believe in “real health”, the fundamental principal of healing and prevention.
We want to give your family the tools you need to have true health.

We also want to prepare you to take care of your child when illness happens.
We want to empower you to take responsibility for your child’s health.
Because down deep, each of us as a parent, is our own child’s best healer.

This philosophy doesn’t resonate with everyone.

The medical profession has effectively removed responsibility from the patient and taken on an almost god-like role.
Offering relief from symptoms, but seldom a cure.

Real health requires asking the question “Why”, not just “What”
It requires digging deeper to find out the cause of the problems,
not just treating the symptoms.

Real health requires personal responsibility.
It may require change of both thoughts and habits.
Real health is worth it!!
